Why Every Guitarist Should Have a Webcam
I have one from 1985 and one from 1986 they both stay in tune well but they sure do not play well at all. The clear coat peels off in inch wide strips so there is no playing them. PRS is over priced junk.
That has not been my experience at all. I have some 30 guitars now and this PRS is still the best of them. Other players who pick it up are quite astounded with it as well.
What gauge strings do you use on your 12 string?
What are you plugging your guitar into to sound so good? I’m getting a radial pZ Pre and then I’m hoping to use good impulse responses. Yours sounds amazing. What are you plugging into?
Matteo has listend to every Kind of music from Classical to Heavy Metal
1 pick vs 3-4 fingers He is very Fast plays very Clean Matteo is 27 years old He trims his own finger nails. Everyone Loves his tone and he pinch harmonics alot
Thanks bro. Very good lesson 🤘
His technique is flawless but i don't care for the play ten notes where three will do type of playing.
Damn. This is one of the best explanations I have come across in years 😂
Great song. Love the lyrics and vocals. Can't wait to hear more from you. Keep rocking! 🤘
Thanks so much!
This is Claudio Quartarone's guitar technique!
Thx Marky!
Happy to help!
Nice! Were you inspired by Danny Gatton?
Absolutely!!!
Both sound the same to me: awesome! I don’t know if they should sound different and why. If someone knows the technicalities of Neural DSP, I would be very interested. As a lay person I just imagine that it picks up a note that’s played on the guitar and then produces the output through some processing within Neural DSP. If it gets a trigger for a B1 note, would it make any difference if this B1 is played on an actual 7 string guitar or if it is triggered by an E2 note on the guitar with the corresponding transposition?
Usually where people can hear a difference is that with an actual thicker, low tuned b string there is a little more depth to the tone maybe it's created by an increased number of harmonics or something that's happening within the vibration of the string. And emulation of that often seems to be missing something in the tone that is hard to put an adjective to. I think it's awfully darn close with this though!
Your beginner statement is so true. I was literally given a cheap electric guitar with a great sized fender amp but ended up giving it away. I gave it away because it hurt to play.. not because I was simply a beginner but because the frets stuck out and I obviously didn’t know how to fix the problem & didn’t want to spend the extra money to get the problem fixed so I ended up being discouraged because it was so painful & annoying to pick up and play no matter what… now im gonna have to shell more money out just to get gear again.
Very lightweight for the PC, and does the same other pro DAW's do.
A new chapter of tenacious D is coming😂... Somebody in Italy ate the pick of destiny into a cannolo...
Tonelib sound more rich and more hard middle, guitar starting sing and growling, when you playing rhytm party. About clean: same thing. Sound deeper and velvety, then neuaral dsp. Anyway i think that plugin about crunch and hot crunch, tonelib- rock/metal, your playing starting with middle video- mmm, brilliantly, i don't know that song, but it touches my soul.
Thanks for the kind words. The song is something I made up specifically for the demo. I didn't give it a name or anything. I'm glad you enjoyed it. 😁 I am on Spotify as Mark Tiarra if you wish to hear more or my playlist here: "My Songs." ruclips.net/p/PL5nXZdmaIH4j0TFEzY-Zgqo9TG-KtOO7l&si=YHfZsXdcIn2ksxx4
George Lynch has always been my favorite guitar player!
No, but it is worth it to buy the Tesi Switch MIMMO (the model they use) and install it yourself if you have the 8string Ninja, since a tremolo isn't available for the 8string multiscale, due to the limited space. An $18 upgrade for the kill switch.
I'm not the slightest but handy or mechanical so installing one myself is not possible but that's a good bit of advice for people who are.
Problem is, HE NEVER PLAYS ANY LICKS,, - it's just running up and down scales super fast. Is that actually playing guitar. ???
@ sky- i agree .his control and technique are perfect but not all that musical . a blues guitar critic said of Johnny winters when he first hit the scene , " he plays five notes where three will do " . personally i liked winters at the time but the guy had a point..
Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Yngie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, John Mayer, Joe Bonamassa, Guthrie Govan, Pat Metheny, Allan Holdsworth. I might have forgotten some, but what do all these players have in common? The answer is that a lot of people hero worship them for their technical mastery, but don't actually listen to their music. If they were to go and watch them live it would simply be to drool over their technical mastery. Their fans are exclusively other guitar players... Players like this just don't appeal to me at all... amazing players all, but they just don't appeal.
Interesting fact, the double tap was made famous by Randy Rhoads who was good friends with George. It was actually Randy who gave him his nickname Ms. Scary because his playing was scary good. George also was personally asked by Randy to take over his students when he went on the road with Ozzy. I'm pretty sure George is the one who taught Randy the double tap.
Very cool!
Hey Mark, great topic. Lets not forget Juliette ruclips.net/video/Vkj4bU8lozc/видео.htmlsi=zVy8OuNYJC_FDjRs
You can't use your computer with the floor unit you were holding at the start of the video?
When I shot this video, it was not possible but now it is. I have to do a separate video on the quad cortex and the computer interface for it. This video you commented on is almost 2 years old now. :)
Lynch's riffs were always killer, but I'll never forget June 1985...., to me the greatest riff of all time hit the radio.... Lay It Down, Ratt !!!! 12 years old, and I was never the same!!
I need to do a video on DiMartini. I love his playing too.
That's a gorgeous PRS, can you tell me what model that is?? and colour?
I did a whole video on it that you might enjoy. ruclips.net/video/YuWgdc06JSw/видео.html :)
Matteo is THAT ONE from 1 000 000 000
Dokken was about my fave in the eighfies, lucky to see them 3 times. George was a pioneer. Very distinctive playing. Great vid. Sub'd!
Thanks! I saw them live a couple times, but they had weird audio/tech problems at both shows. So disappointing. :(
Nice lesson! Still love basic power chords the best though.
Thanks! You gotta play what you love for sure!
That sounded great! 🤘🤘
Thanks!
the little italian he is a monster titan
I think the main riff to "Freewill" by Rush is Lydian. The way it sounds and the way the riff is laid out looks Lydian as well. I am not sure if the Intro, Chorus & Bridges are in Lydian & the main riff throughout the verse sounds like Lydian Mode to me. I have studied modes for what seems like decades and can usually pick out what mode a song is in, but do still get stumped at times. My problem is I have trouble coming up with chord progressions when I try to jam or make loops in modes. Starting out with the chord that matches the same degree as the mode like you mentioned here makes sense & I am going to play around with that a bit this week. Thanks for another excellent video!!
Yeah, that's an important thing that doesn't get spoken about often. People learn the modes as scales and then when you go to apply them over the same music as you use other scales over, it doesn't really sound all that different. The sound of the mode really comes from the background music as opposed to the lead scale. I think you will find that you are getting some enjoyable results doing it this other way.
I've just discovered this great way to practice thanks to John Scofield. Each of my fingers has a distinct soloing style. Very cool solo.
I love Scofield! Where did you see this practice technique?
@@MusicWithMarky He gives an example when being interviewed by Rick Beato. Towards the end of the interview but definitely watch the whole interview.
Someone says Govan and Bonamassa suck and you actually respond with a video. Pathetic, clickbait.
Is not about guitar, only about skills
In the beginning a guitar can matter somewhat insofar as if it is difficult to play it will discourage a new player from playing. If it doesn't stay in tune and if it sounds kind of tinny. All these things make a new player not really want to practice and keep going. Having a beginner guitar at a beginner cost that actually is a good instrument is a wonderful thing.
The taste and class this young lady has is exceptional. It’s not chops, it’s feel and it’s smart musical choices. She’s the real deal.
That f# tuning trick is really cool
When I first discovered it, I was pretty excited!
